Who we are; who we want to be

For now, Pegasus Theory is more of an aspiration than a tangible thing.

I find myself thinking a lot about people, about story, about music, about shared experience. In other words, art and community are deeply important to me. Pegasus Theory is an attempt to foster and develop those things, both for myself, and for others.

To me there are two arms to what Pegasus Theory can and should be.

The first, and probably more important, is that Pegasus Theory is a community hub. It is a space where people can gather to discuss, make, and appreciate art of all kinds. This manifests in meetups like The Amplifier, and the community in our Discord server.

The second, and certainly more aspirational, is that Pegasus Theory is a metalabel. An organization that can curate, produce, promote, and publish art. Examples of this so far are the Source Material podcast, and the upcoming event The Stinger.

I think these two arms can and should be interlocked. Two hand-holding sides of the same coin. The community side brings people together to collaborate, and then, sometimes, the metalabel side helps those collaborations reach their full potential.

Are we there yet? No.

Is stuff in motion? Yes. Perennially.

Hop in.
